They weren’t the shoes I wanted. He didn’t even get slippers. A young man from Osorno experienced an unusual situation, who had taken advantage of online offers to buy you a new footwear but that was not what he received at home, but he received a container from the Public Health Institute (ISP) with a biological sample.
According to his complaint on Instagram, the package contained a “sample of human blood or derivatives” for immunological evaluation, sent from the Clinical Laboratory of the Hospital de Chaitén, in the same region of Los Lagos.
Nicolás Fuentes, the affected person, contacted Columbia, the footwear company, who did not give him an effective solution.
“This is not a typical case of product delivery error. It is not that I bought blue sneakers and they came to me white. It’s not that I bought sneakers and I got a T-shirt. I received a sample of some biological substance,” he emphasized and warned that “My health and that of my family was put at risk. For some Columbia sneakers, I could maybe end up with what disease.”
Correos Chile, who delivered the package, solved the problem, according to the same young man told Radio Cooperativa. “They communicated with me and did all the steps. A manager saw the news on social networks, contacted him and we agreed to come and remove the container they sent me,” he said.
“In addition, they rescued the package that belonged to me and gave it to me,” Fuentes said.
