The Constitutional Commission of the Chamber of Deputies approved in particular the second withdrawal of 10% of pension funds, motion presented by a group of deputies with the aim of shoveling the economic crisis generated by the pandemic.

Despite the foregoing, the review of the indications presented by some pro-government and opposition deputies was pending for a new session of the instance.

The only indication that was approved was the one promoted by the deputy Pamela Giles and Deputy Matías Walker, one of the authors of the bill, which was supported by seven votes in favor and six against, and which allows the second withdrawal of AFP funds, with the only difference with respect to the first initiative, which it can be withdrawn in a single installment.

Regarding the indications that were not reviewed, it appears, among others, that withdrawals are taxed, that only people who have seen their income decrease, or have lost their jobs and that there is a refund of the money withdrawn can withdraw money.

After being reviewed in the Constitution committee, the project is expected to go to the Chamber.
