Liberman noted that “I spoke with Maradona’s doctor last night, after the operation, and he told me that Diego was perfect, that he spoke judiciously, with cognitive ability and was fully aware of everything that had happened. If everything remains the same, it will become another memory“.
However, the journalist made a powerful appeal to his family. “We have to tell the truth, we have to say that Diego is not in a position today to assume a leading role in what it means to be a professional soccer coach, who is being used, who is not aware of what is happening on his social networks, that Maradona was admitted to the clinic and, a few hours after being operated on his brain, his Instagram account simultaneously advertised cigars“.
“His environment must change urgently, which must be reduced by his siblings, children and no one else. Not even his ex-wife. His lawyer must stop thinking about business (…) you have to tell the truth, Diego is not in a position to do anything he is doing, his priority should be his health, because Diego looks like a grandfather of 80 and is 60: walks very slowly, has difficulty expressing himself, lives on medication, has anxiety, depressive disorders, among other things“, he added.
