The Eastern Robbery Investigation Brigade of the PDI managed to arrest one of the alleged persons involved in the robbery that affected the Metropolitan Health Seremi.
The situation occurred on October 10, when a group of individuals took 19 computers from the offices of the seremi.
Subprefect Julio Caro, head of the Oriente Robbery Investigation Brigade, reported that the arrest took place yesterday thanks to the image review of security cameras.
He added that those who perpetrated the theft entered with false keys through the front door of the seremi.
Along with this, he pointed out that the individual has a previous history and that I was part of a band who committed robberies in the center of Santiago. At his home, in addition, the clothes he would have worn that day were found.
Images provided by the PDI show the thieves looking at the place hours before the robbery, then returning at night and take the equipment.
The crime had caused suspicion in the political world because it occurred in the midst of the controversy over the delivery of emails from the Ministry of Health in the framework of the investigation into the deaths of COVID-19.
However, Seremi Paula Labra reported that 15 of the computers were new and the other 4 had human resources information.
