For the homicide of one of his uncles, they are investigating in Lautaro, under the law of adolescent criminal responsibility, a young man who he would have committed the crime an hour before he came of age.
Under the adolescent criminal liability law A young man, currently 18 years old, will be investigated for the crime of homicide, who an hour before reaching the age of majority, beat one of his uncles, killing him in Lautaro.
The decision was made by the Local Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of Lautaro, regarding a young man who was arrested early Sunday morning, as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of his uncle, being presented to the Guarantee Court of the commune, for the hearing to control the legality of the detention.
On the same occasion, the Prosecutor’s Office managed to extend the detention period until this Tuesday, when based on the information gathered it was established that the crime occurred around 11 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, when the now accused was still a teenager, according to Lautaro’s surrogate prosecutor specified, Alonso Leiva.
It was established that the event occurred in the context of an alcoholic intake, prior to the now accused turning 18 on Sunday, November 1, when together with his uncle, victim in this case, they left the property in which they were sharing, to look for more alcohol, without clarifying so far why the beating that ended the adult’s life was generated
The Lautaro Guarantee Court applied to the accused for the crime of simple homicide, the precautionary measure of provisional internment in a closed compound of the Sename.
