Unión La Calera achieved a historic qualification for the second round of the Copa Sudamericana, after drawing 1-1 against Deportes Tolima, in Colombia. As in the first leg they had equalized without goals, the national team took advantage thanks to the visiting goal converted by Andrés Vilches, in an entertaining and highly contested match.
The game started with a strong leg immediately. Juan Leiva received a yellow card with barely 14 seconds. A sample of what the procedure was going to be, in Ibagué, because neither the place nor the visit were given an inch.

It was a very even match, stuck for several moments, but with both teams trying to play well. The 0-0 in the first leg in Chile forced them to be vigilant in defense and accurate in attack.
