Everton coach Javier Torrente starred in a Saturday of fury in the Ruleteros’ victory against Audax Italiano in Florida. The DT was expelled by Francisco Gilabert and not only insulted the referee … he also loaded her with chairs and what he found on his way to the vastarium.
In conversation with La Redgoleta de RedGol, Torrente acknowledged that he is very sorry and will seek various ways to partially remedy his action.
“I am sorry, I have to clarify that I used some harsh words against the referee, but he put something in the report that I did not say”, Torrente said.
Added that “I protested a foul in the middle of the court, another later for a corner that he sanctioned when it was a hand or goal kick for us and when the fourth official told him to send me off, I got angry there.”
He complemented by explaining: “But I don’t have to react like that. We will contact the referee to apologize, even go see him at home if necessary.
“We also had contact with Audax to find out the value of the chairs, and I am going to donate a stretcher for the medical area as a form of apology. When we suffer unfair situations we can overreach, it is not justifying ourselves, but understanding it ”, added.
Finally he ruled that “I am not a violent person, I have suffered only one expulsion and the central referee thought he was telling him, then I showed the video to the commission, that he was not saying anything to the referee and they did not sanction me.”
