Step by Step Plan: Viña del Mar, Valparaíso and seven municipalities of the RM go to Preparation

A series of new measures within the framework of the Step by Step plan were announced this day by the Undersecretary for Crime Prevention, Katherine Martorell.

Among them, they highlight that Viña del Mar and Valparaíso go to Preparation (Phase 3), the same situation as seven communes of the Metropolitan Region: Puente Alto, Buin, Conchalí, San Ramón, La Granja, San Miguel and La Pintana.

The communes of Rengo and San Vicente, in the O’Higgins Region, also join this measure; Well Almonte, Tarapacá Region; Tierra Amarilla, Vallenar and Copiapó, in the Tarapacá Region; and San José de la Mariquina, in Los Ríos.

It should be remembered that the communes that are in phase 3 no longer have quarantines on weekends and it is no longer necessary to ask for permission to go out during the day (the safe conducts for the curfew remain the same).

Meanwhile, it was also announced that Cerrillos, in the metropolitan region, is advancing to phase 4, that is, Initial Opening.

Meanwhile, they leave the total quarantine, the communes of: Curanilahue and Los Álamos, in the Biobio Region; Frutillar and Fresia, in the Los Lagos Region; Pichidegua, O’Higgins Region.

The aforementioned towns advance to phase 2, of Transition. Stage in which the quarantine is maintained on weekends and holidays.

All these measures will take effect from Thursday at 05.00.
