Vicuña is in mourning, and it is that a whole family died of coronavirus in this city of the Coquimbo Region

According to the information provided by the newspaper El Día, the family was made up of an elderly couple and their daughters over 40, who had underlying chronic diseases.

The event caused great commotion among the inhabitants of the area, who were present en masse at the funerals with tributes and messages of support for those close to Viviana Adaos and her family.

The same media indicates that the coronavirus reached this family in September. A few weeks passed and the man’s state of health worsened more and more, leading to his death.

Days later, his wife presented a decompensation that aggravated her covid diagnosis and that influenced her death.

This did not stop there because one of her daughters had been notified as a carrier of the virus, presenting serious ailments that led her to be admitted to a health center and also died.

Meanwhile, during the day yesterday the funerals of the second daughter of the marriage were held.

The mayor of Vicuña, Rafael Vera, emphasized that “the numbers have not been so bad for Vicuña, we are the third least infected commune in the region. We have managed to somehow stop the virus, but unfortunately what we have not been able to do is that of the 11 people who have been seriously infected they have improved. 9 have already left ”.
