The Minister of Education, Raúl Figueroa, ruled out being a candidate for the Constitutional Convention, after Interior Minister Víctor Pérez admitted that some government authorities “have expressed interest” in being constituents.
In an interview with 24 Horas, he was asked about the possibility of being a constituent, indicating that “no, I am very doomed to the enormous challenges of the Ministry of Education.”
In this regard, the head of Mineduc stated that “of course I consider that the constituent process is tremendously interesting, very valuable.”
“But my concern today is to take charge of the challenges that are in this Ministry and to the extent that the President wants me to continue working with him, I will do so with great determination,” concluded Minister Figueroa.
