After a series of steps, the Union of BancoEstado Officials (Bech) reached an agreement to culminate with the extension of the hours in the branches, something that caused controversy and quarrels within the entity.

In June, through a statement, the union expressed its rejection of the change in the opening hours that it applied to 52 branches (until 4:00 p.m.) and that it previously announced through the media Sebastian Sichel, president of BancoEstado.

“We are concerned that this measure, together with contradicting the regulations imposed by the health and put the health and life of the population at riskhave an impact on the quality of life of the workers ”, explained the organization at that time.

After a series of negotiations, the union managed to reverse the situation and the time extension will only apply until October 30.

Therefore, starting in November, the agreed adjustments for 52 branches will run and customers will be previously informed.

“After weeks of management, the union and the administration agreed to end the time extension regime (…). It is the result of the strong unity of the workers and the capacity for dialogue within the company ”, indicated the organization.
