Bellolio indicates that there are ministers and undersecretaries interested in being constituents | National

This Monday, at a press point after the cabinet council, the minister spokesman Jaime Bellolio indicated that there is Government authorities that have already expressed their intentions to be members of the constitutional convention that could give Chile a new Magna Carta.

In the instance, Bellolio also recalled that the deadlines to leave positions in the Executive are this November 21, the day in which the next parliamentary race is settled; and the January 11, day that the candidatures for the convention are registered.

“There are ministers, undersecretaries and some other authorities who have expressed their interest But, as I say, it is January 11 that this must materialize in case of wanting to go to the Constituent Convention, “said Bellolio from La Moneda.

Asked whether it would not be prudent for these figures to leave their positions in the Government much earlier, the spokesperson pointed out that Piñera’s call was clear and that must be renounced at the time of registering an application.

In the same spokesperson, Bellolio stressed that millions of people have expressed their opinion on the paths that Chile should follow with a pencil and in peace, without violence.

“And the massive triumph of the Approval as well as of the Constitutional Convention also means a reflection for those of us who were in Congress and are in the cabinet on that need that Chileans say to have a hope that things change with different actors “he admitted.
