This afternoon, at table 122 of Colegio Andalién de Colina, Gustavo Gatica was present to vote and be part of this constitutional plebiscite.
The 21-year-old, who in November 2019 lost his sight after receiving Carabineros pellets in his eyes, was received amid applause at the polling station.
Gatica arrived at the place just after 6:00 p.m. accompanied by an assistant, who led him to the table where he had to vote.
The sequence of the Psychology student exercising his citizen rights quickly went viral on social networks, where his name became a “trending topic”.
Fabiola Campillai, another of the victims of the clash between police and protesters during the “social outbreak” last year, also voted on this day, at the Lucila Godoy Alcayaga High School in San Bernardo.
