Last September the Ninth Chamber of the Court of Appeals of Santiago confirmed the preventive detention of “Nano” Calderón Argandoña, who is complying with the precautionary measure in the Penalty Santiago 1.
The 23-year-old young man who was formalized for frustrated patricide against his father, but is also being investigated for damages, unjustified shooting, unconditional threats and less serious injuries in VIF and other related contexts.
According to Glamorama, these days Calderón Argandoña lives in a “Open piece with windows to the hall of the enclosure”, no view to the outside. The law student also does not have access to television and spends his hours reading three books, which he has already finished.
He has no contact with other inmates and is guarded 24 hours a day by a gendarme. In fact, it is the uniformed men who have become his confidants, whom he promised he would call when he gets out of jail.
The food for “Nano” is provided by the criminal, although he also receives some “goodies” brought by his defense, who also cut his hair on one of his visits.
Glamorama sources added that Calderón is considered an inmate with good behavior, although the anxiety about leaving the prison has been present in him and that he hopes that he will be granted house arrest, which he would serve at his mother’s house.
The case began on August 11 when the 23-year-old arrived at the apartment of his father, Hernán Calderón Salinas, to attack him with a knife. After that, the lawyer denounced him for frustrated patricide.
However, Calderón Salinas reclassified the complaint against his son, eliminating the qualification of “parricide” and leaving it as a “crime serious injuries in the context of domestic violence.”
