The Minister of the Interior, Victor Perez, he pointed out that noise bomb that exploded this Friday night at the doors of the Electoral Service headquarters (Servel), in the center of Temuco, sought to “frighten, intimidate those who have a fundamental role”.
After 9:30 p.m. this Friday, it was announced the outbreak of an explosive device, which contained gunpowder, at the doors of the Servel, where four officials were working inside.
Due to this, the Interior Minister said that “there is no doubt that the explosive device -which is being investigated for its characteristics- what it was looking for was to frighten, intimidate to those who have a fundamental role, which are the Servel officials, which is the autonomous body that is in charge of the entire electoral process. “
And he added that “be certain that the government will collaborate with all his energy so that the investigations allow us to find the perpetrators, to bring them to court and hopefully they will be convicted. “
