Roger Waters, former leader of the mythical band Punk Floyd, uploaded a video to his Twitter account, where he called to vote for the “Approve” and the “Constitutional Convention”, hours after the plebiscite began in Chilean territory.
The rock figure, who has been very critical of the government of President Sebastián Piñera, assured that “Dear friends of Chile, tomorrow everyone will vote. I approve the Constitutional Convention.”
The British musician added that “we all deserve the right to live in peace,” citing the lyrics of the song by Víctor Jara, one of the emblematic themes of the social outbreak, which generated this plebiscite.

“For a new Constitution”
Waters’ record was accompanied by the following message: “A message from Roger to the People of Chile on the eve of the momentous occasion of a national referendum to replace the old Constitution that was imposed by the dictator Pinochet. With a new Constitution approved by the Village”.
