With a first vote in Auckland, New Zealand, the Electoral Service declared the constitutional plebiscite abroad open. It is the first time that the citizens of that city can cast their vote without having to travel to the capital of that country.

Foreign Minister Andrés Allamand stated that “the plebiscite is already underway with Chileans voting in New Zealand. Asia will follow in the afternoon, Europe and Africa in our early morning, and tomorrow, along with us, America ”.

After the announcement, the president of Servel, Patricio Santamaría, announced that 32,807 tables have been constituted at the national level so far, representing 73% of the total.

Overseas, meanwhile, 111 tables have been installed, representing 50% of the total.

According to Santamaría, it is estimated that this Sunday the results will be known before 00:00 hours.
