The former president of Bolivia Evo Morales, left this Friday from Argentina to Caracas in an official plane of the Venezuelan government, reported the official news agency Télam.
Morales, who had been in Buenos Aires since December as a refugee, left the Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires at 5:15 p.m. for the Venezuelan capital.
According to the local press, the leader of the Movement to Socialism (MAS) will return to the Argentine capital next Sunday.
Morales announced days ago that he plans to return to Bolivia on a date not yet set after the resounding triumph of his political dolphin Luis Arce in the presidential elections last Sunday.
“My return to Bolivia is not yet scheduled,” he said last Wednesday, while President Alberto Fernández declared himself willing to accompany him.
Morales resigned from the presidency of Bolivia on November 10, 2019 after losing support from the Armed Forces amid allegations of fraud.
He first traveled to Mexico and then became a refugee in Argentina after the inauguration of Peronist Alberto Fernández on December 10.
