The Eastern Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office began the investigation of a robbery with homicide that occurred this Thursday in the commune of Providencia.
The incident took place at the intersection of Avenida Providencia with Miguel Claro and led to the arrival of the prosecutor Marcelo Miranda. They also attended to carry out detective proceedings of the Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police.
The deceased person was wounded with a sharp weapon and a second was injured.
Carabineros, meanwhile, reported the arrest of two subjects, accused as the perpetrators of the crime.
This Friday the detainees will go to detention control.
Captain Danilo Vauhnik, Ronda Prefectura Oriente officer pointed out that thanks to preventive services deployed by the uniformed police in the commune “And the quick action of the officials led to the arrest of two individuals who moments before would have committed a crime of robbery with violence resulting in death”.
According to police information at 7:40 p.m. this Thursday, personnel from the 19th Police Station of Providencia detained a man and a woman four blocks from the place.
The procedure was developed after two adult men and a woman arranged a meeting with the detainees for a drug sale.
The detainees allegedly attacked the two men with a knife, who were taken in a private vehicle to a nearby clinic. One of them, 29 years old, died while receiving medical attention. The second assaulted, 31 years old, is in serious condition without life risk. Victims also maintain prior records.
