“We have completed a very important stage in the implementation of VAT on digital services, since this Tuesday, October 20, technological platforms without domicile or residence in our country, but that operate in our country, met the deadline to provide their declaration and payments of this tax “, explained Carolina Sarabia, Head of Inspection.

He added that the collection “It is very important, since it becomes part of the tax revenue of our country.”

This regulation contemplates 120 platforms that are paying taxes in the country, among which are Spotify, Netflix, Amazon Prime, which have had a strong boom in recent times.

During this day the Government announced the formation of the Tax Commission for Growth and Equity, which aims to assess in which direction the Chilean tax system will advance.
