Today from 5:00 a.m., six communes in the Metropolitan Region entered the Initial Opening phase of the Step by Step plan for the first time. These are the communes of Til Til, María Pinto, San Pedro, Curacaví, Pirque and Colina.
With this, there are 29 communes nationwide that are at this stage.
In this regard, this morning the Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, referred to this advance, reminding people that “having more freedom leads to more responsibility.”
“New activities will be allowed and these greater freedoms invite us to make a call for sanitary measures to be respected,” he said.
In this phase of preparation of the Step by Step plan, the residents of these communes do not need to obtain a travel permit unless they want to enter a quarantined commune, and meetings in private spaces are allowed with a maximum capacity of 50 people in closed spaces and 100 people in open spaces.
In addition to this, as detailed by the undersecretary, in this phase cinemas and analogues can operate with a reduced capacity, as well as perform sport activity and participate in team sports with a maximum of 10 people indoors and 50 people in open spaces.
In the case of cinemas, he indicated, people cannot eat, they cannot take off their masks and there cannot be food sales.
“At this stage the curfew and the closing of pubs and discotheques are maintained. It is essential to tell people that sanitary measures must be respected more than ever ”, he stressed.
In addition to this, at the country level the communes of Calama, Coquimbo, La Serena, Ovalle, San Antonio, Santa Cruz, Panguipulli, Renca, Paine, Melipilla, Maipú, San Joaquín, Lo Espejo entered the Preparation phase (step 3). , El Monte and San Bernardo.
Meanwhile, the communes of Hualpén, Talcahuano, Concepción, Penco, San Pedro de la Paz, Chiguayante, Molina and Longaví enter the Transition phase (step 2).
