Within the framework of a new balance of the Government, the Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, referred to the situation of the Chilean ambassador in Paraguay, Jorge Ulloa, who has been hospitalized since Wednesday at the German Clinic in Santiago, suffering from pneumonia derived from a contagion of covid-19 acquired in that country.
Asked about the relevance of the arrival of the former Bío Bío mayor to the country, despite having been diagnosed with the virus in Paraguay, the Secretary of State noted that his transfer “is no exception. The ambassador was transferred for health reasons in an ambulance plane, paid for by the insurance that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintains for its officials who work abroad ”.
“He moved with all the sanitary measures according to his condition, and – I repeat – in an exclusive ambulance plane to transport patients, as we do many times in Chile (…) This is common, “added the head of the Health portfolio.
Health condition
In relation to Ulloa’s state of health, on Thursday morning it was reported that he remains stable, life-threatening and connected to an oxygen tank.
Close to the family confirmed that Ulloa is a risk patient, suffering from diabetes, hence the need to urgently transfer him to the country.
