The 7th Guarantee Court of Santiago decided to leave preventive prison a man accused of making threats with a submachine gun in the Persian Bío Bío.

The situation occurred during the afternoon of Tuesday, according to CHV Noticias, when in the middle of a fight that took place inside one of the sheds, an individual took out a UZI type weapon, which generated panic among tenants and customers.

Staff from Carabinieri, which was also threatened. For all this, the man was finally arrested.

The accused, identified as Failer Escobar Hurtado, of Colombian nationality, was formalized by threats to police officers and illegal possession of firearm, remaining in preventive detention.

The investigation period was set at 120 days.
