On Monday, October 5, an attack against the Maritano Ebensperger automotive company in Concepción, left four vehicles burned and significant material damage to offices. This Saturday it was announced that the Fire Department report concluded that a bomb activated by a detonator or fuse was used.
According to what is indicated in the report, the device was installed inside the enclosure, thus ruling out the use of accelerators to commit the crime.
The document also indicates that what happened supposes and presents serious consequences to the safety of Firefighters and Security personnel in the emergency, since these mechanisms could delay their activation, remaining stand-by, and explode, when the emergency teams are working in the place.
The incident occurred inside the company located on Avenida Paicaví, at the height of El Carmen passage, where the criminals entered the side of the property, smashing glass to reach the car sales room.
The company’s manager, Giancarlo Maritano, said that those responsible burned two cars completely and two partially, in addition to causing extensive damage to office supplies.
According to what was reported, the damages caused by this event left losses close to 30 million pesos.
It was also announced that pamphlets were found at the site, which did not attribute the attack to a particular group.
