The Colombian national team debuted with a solid 3-0 win over Venezuela in Barranquilla for the first date of the Qualifying heading to Qatar 2022. With this result, the “coffee” cast puts the Chilean team on alert facing the duel that both will hold next Tuesday, October 13 in our capital.
Those led by Carlos Queiroz managed to impose all their superiority in the first part of the match. After 16 minutes of play the powerful Duvan Zapata opened the scoring, while his teammate in Atalanta, Luis Muriel, stretched the lead at 26 ’45 + 3′.
In the second part, the “tricolor” took advantage of the null audacity of the “vinotinto” to get to match the account, so it decided to replace figures such as James Rodriguez, Juan Cuadrado and their own Zapata and Muriel to give them rest for the crossing with the Red.
With this victory, Colombia adds its first three points and adds confidence with a view to the clash they will have against the national team next Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. at the National Stadium.
Venezuela, meanwhile, added more doubts than certainties before the game in which they will face Paraguay in Mérida, also next Tuesday.
