The Red of Reinaldo Rueda started with the left foot his way in the qualifying rounds towards the Qatar World Cup 2022, after the referee Eber Aquino decided not to charge a legitimate penalty against Uruguay.
The Chilean team was motivated, capable and -by passages- even gave the illusion of achieving a triumph in the mythical Centenario Stadium, an option that the party judge buried with a scandalous referendum.
But as expected, the Chileans did not sit idly by, and while the ANFP assured that they will demand VAR audios from Conmebol, Thousands of Chilean fans went on a virtual tour to Eber Aquino’s Instagram.
The Paraguayan judge’s account was inactive since September 2018, but this Friday woke up with more than 50,000 comments from La Roja fans, who with fury showed him the discomfort left by his robbery in the eliminatory duel against the Charruas.
“All the peeled ones are wooden face”, was the softest thing that they wrote to Aquino in his account.
Epithets like “thief”, “clown”, “saquero”, “cursed” and scoundrel are some of the affectionate messages and greetings that the Red Tide left in the account of the Paraguayan referee.
The last time Eber Aquino used his Instagram, it was two years ago, and he did it to clarify that there was another account with his name hanging around but that was fake.
After the shameless robbery suffered by the Chilean team of Reinaldo Rueda, the ANFP will make a formal claim requesting sanctions for the referee, whose bad decisions harshly conditioned La Roja on the first day of the qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022.
