The mayor of Las Condes, Joaquin Lavin, asked to toughen measures against COVID-19 in his commune due to the increase in active cases.
According to the latest epidemiological reports, Las Condes went from having 167 active cases on October 1 to 192 on October 4.

That is, to receive no more than 5 people in closed spaces and no more than 10 in open spaces.
In Lavín’s opinion, infections have increased in the commune by home contact, and pointed to the social gatherings that are held in homes in the commune.
“A large part of the new infections are inside the houses, people relax, take off their masks, lose their distance. There are meetings of 25 people in a house, 50 people on a terrace“, He said.
Currently Las Condes is in the stage of Preparation of the Step-by-step plan, which allows daily outings and the opening of restaurants in open spaces.
Slight decline in the region
However, the Metropolitan region suffered a slight descent in active cases. From having 4,360 on October 1, it went to 4,332 on October 4.
