A cruel situation was registered in Argentina last Tuesday, where residents of the town of Pilar denounced that a group of people ‘looted’ a truck carrying pigs, which had overturned on a highway.
In the place, there were recordings that show individuals taking animals to their cars, others who carried them with ropes and even those who put them on supermarket carts.
However, even more serious were the allegations that subjects slaughtered animals on the road before taking them home.
As reported by Clarín, the truck had overturned when trying to make a turn on a narrow street, falling into a ditch one meter deep.
The destination of the animals was a cold store called Amancay, which was located five kilometers from that area.

Neighbors added that police and fire officials came to the area that day, but they did not do much to prevent people from stealing or even slaughtering the animals.
“It was the police and they did nothing. It was the firefighters and they did nothing. People started posting in neighborhood groups to go hunting the pigs. People began to come out to kill and hunt, ”said a witness.
As the hours passed, the authorities began an operation to recover the animals that had been stolen from the place, which included a house raid.
In total, they reported, the people had pulled 25 pigs from the truck, while officially 10 of them were beheaded on public roads.
The operation left 20 detainees, some of them will be formalized for violence against animals, for which they risk several years in prison.
