On Tuesday afternoon, a group of unknown men attacked with forceful elements, and – according to the Carabineros – even two Molotov cocktails, the Twentieth Police Station of Puente Alto.
The uniformed police have not reported any damage to the interior of the compound, nor have they reported injured or detained personnel as a result of this fact.
As the hours passed, the protesters increased and became about 100 people who protested in the Plaza de Puente Alto, near the barracks.
Public control personnel acted on several occasions to try to disperse dozens of individuals, managing to control the situation around 11:00 p.m.
Bonfires were lit in the area and an undetermined amount of elements were scattered in Concha y Toro avenue, which cut off traffic to the south at Eduardo Cordero Street.
However, vehicular traffic began to gradually resume after 10:30 p.m. although in Balmaceda street, where the police station is located, there are still elements on the road at the close of this edition.
