A Transantiago bus, run by the Metbus operator, was set on fire during the night of this Monday in Obispo Orrego with Grecia, in the commune of Ñuñoa.

The passenger transport vehicle was totally damaged and generated a visible plume of smoke at the scene.

Firefighters from the commune told Radio Bío Bío that it was not possible for them to approach the place to fight the fire, so 2 Carabineros water-throwing cars came to try to put out the flames.

The situation forced the almost total interruption of traffic in both directions, east and west, on Grecia Avenue, although some vehicles continued to pass through the place.
