Covid-19 report: Magallanes, Los Lagos, Bío Bío and Araucanía lead the increase in new cases | National

During this Monday, the health authorities delivered a new balance on the advance of COVID-19 in the country, an instance where 1,567 new cases were reported. The region of La Araucanía is concerned, which reached its second highest figure (166 new cases) since the pandemic began.

Also, according to the information provided, 58 registered deaths were reported, thus totaling 13,037 deaths.

On the Assistance Network, 853 people are hospitalized and 648 are currently on mechanical ventilation. On critical patients, 119 were reported. Regarding the availability of ventilators, there are currently 471 mechanical ventilators available to those who require it.

Situation by region

Regarding infections by region, the Bío Bío region has remained above 130 daily cases since September 21, reporting 151 today.

Magallanes, for his part, is in a similar situation, with daily reports of over 100 cases since September 16. This Monday it reached 151.

In the Los Lagos region, after reporting its historical maximum on September 25 with 222 cases, the figures had remained stable between 70 and 169 cases, until this Saturday, when they skirted 200 with 197 cases. Today, the report indicates 178 new cases.

Finally, in relation to the region of La Araucanía, it had presented a drop from its historical maximum on September 30 (179 cases), however, today it reached its second highest figure, with 166 new cases.
