Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the arrest of a policeman accused of causing a young man to fall into the Mapocho River | National

The North Central Prosecutor’s Office ordered the arrest of the carabinero accused of causing the fall of the 16-year-old from the Pío Nono bridge Alabama Mapocho river.

As confirmed by the agency through Twitter, the official was arrested by the alleged crime of attempted murder, after various proceedings carried out since yesterday by the prosecutor Patricio Macaya, together with the Flagrancia de Fiscalía team and the PDI.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the arrest request was presented after multiple proceedings, which allowed establishing that there is a history of his responsibility in the events.

The accused will be formalized on Sunday by the High Complexity prosecutor, Ximena Chong.
