In an interview with channel 24 Hours, the president of the National Association of Fiscal Employees (ANEF), Jose Perez, it is pronounced after the Internal Revenue Service (SII) this morning reported that it detected more than 37 thousand public officials who received the Middle Class Bond without complying with the requirements.
“It is of impact”The manager commented on the information, but added that “We understand that this is also the result of a string of errors in which the Government has made”. In this regard, he questioned “the poor design of those technical aspects that have to do with implementation, as happened particularly with this bond.”
Of the nearly half a million workers in Chile involved, including civil servants and public officials, Pérez assured that “We do not think they are in collusion for abuse of a bond. It is of impact, but we also understand that there is a political responsibility of the Government and how these public policies are designed that in the face of haste, what they do is generate confusion “.
ANEF OPEN TO SUMMARIES AND ADMINISTRATIVE INVESTIGATIONS
Pérez also clarified that “as ANEF we represent the central administration of the State. There is a group also in health, in the municipalities, therefore we do not have the details. We act on a principle of good faith.”
Regarding the respective investigation, the leader stressed the importance of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic “speeding up and finishing the investigation. We invite that if there is a situation, this has to be reinstated. We don’t get lost there either.”
By way of self-criticism, the president of the ANEF established that “when there are situations that cannot be allowed, that have to do with and are related to the lack of probity or ethics, summary premises and administrative investigations must be met under these premises. Always we will be available to that “. Despite the above, he argued that “What strikes us deeply is that this situation is exploited, which today is housed in workers in general, public or private.”
In line with the above, he stated that although “there is a focus that must be sincere,” “I would invite us not to advance the penalties of hell, beyond individual responsibility, but to carry out the investigations.”
Finally, Pérez assured that “We must take charge, we are not going to shield anyone who in these conditions may have misused.”
