Nintendo Spain today announced that Steve and Alex, main characters of Minecraft, are the new fighters of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. These iconic Minecraft characters are coming to the new Nintendo Switch soon as part of the Combat Pass Vol. 2, a paid DLC that incorporates new fighters to the game.

The characters will have a own combat style focused on building structures and weapons that can be used in battle, turning Mojang’s game mechanics into combat techniques. They will also incorporate new scenarios based on the worlds of Minecraft– There will be level variants with field, desert and snow scenes, as well as recognizable structures and blocks from the game, such as dynamite and seven musical tracks from the series.
