The latest Epidemiological Report, published this Wednesday by the Ministry of Health, revealed a wide difference with respect to the active cases reported by the health authority in the daily balance sheets.
According to the figures provided every 24 hours, as of September 27 there were 13,556 active cases in the country.
However, that day, as consolidated in the 55th Epidemiological Report by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), at that time there were actually 17,376 people with the active virus.
In short, a difference of 3,820 cases.
Meanwhile, Punta Arenas (1,404), Coronel (399), Arica (399), Talca (390) and Puerto Montt (387) top the list of cities with the highest number of active cases, in which group the majority are quarantine, except the capital of Maule.
The top 10 is closed by Puente Alto (379), Rancagua (353), Maipú (346), Antofagasta (343) and Concepción (322), in which group only the capital of Bío Bío is in quarantine.
