Unanimously, the Senate Constitution Committee approved the nomination of the minister of the Court of Appeals of Santiago, Adelita Ravanales, as a letter to the Supreme Court, in the vacancy left by the retiree Hugo Dolmetsch.
Now, you must go to the Room and you will need two thirds of the votes for ratification at the top of the Judiciary.
Its approval comes after the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, chose it as a letter to reach the top of the Judiciary.

Adelita Ravanales, emphasized before the instance that she witnessed the progress in gender equality, but in which we still have to continue, also specifying that to be a good judge it is not enough to fulfill legal duties.
For her part, the UDI senator, Luz Ebensperger, said that in her opinion the magistrate meets all the requirements to reach the Supreme Court.
In turn, her DC counterpart, Francisco Huenchumilla, emphasized that she has a extensive judicial career.
After its approval by the Senate Constitution Committee, it must now go to the Chamber, needing two thirds of the votes for ratification at the top of the Judiciary.
