This Sunday, President Sebastián Piñera announced a massive program for the recovery and opening of new jobs, for which 2 billion dollars will be invested in the payment of subsidies to companies that add new workers to their payroll, or return to their functions to your suspended workers.
According to the president, the plan to create new jobs considers delivering up to 50% of the remuneration to the gross monthly income for the people hired, with a ceiling of 250 thousand pesos.
However, given that the crisis has especially affected women, the subsidy will increase to 60% when a worker is hired, with a ceiling of 270 thousand pesos per month.
The same reinforced benefit will be given to young people between 18 and 24 years old, and people with disabilities.
The president specified that to access this benefit, only companies that increase the total number of workers hired compared to June 2020 will be admitted. Large companies must keep at least 80% of the same workers who made up their payroll in the month of your first application for the subsidy, a situation that Sence will review every 3 months from your first application.
The subsidy will be delivered for a maximum of 6 months, and its payment will be made within 30 days of its approval.
