The Ministry of Health reported 1,923 new cases this day, lowering the figure of the 2,000 daily infections that were registered during two consecutive days in the country, and reaching a total of 457,901.
In the last two days, 2,109 and 2,222 infections were registered, which set off the alarms in the country, however, the Minsal called to look at the figures with caution, because the week of National Holidays dropped the consultations and tests.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS) reported the death of 50 people, reaching a total of 12,641 since the beginning of the pandemic in Chile.
From the Minsal a record number in PCR test with 39,405 in the last day. “We have reached a record number in the last three days in the taking of CRP, adding 115,219 CRP”, said the Minister of Health, Enrique Paris.
Regarding hospitalized patients, there are 888 in critical patient units, 637 of them with mechanical ventilation support and 135 in critical condition.
