82.4% of AFP affiliates have withdrawn their 10% and the average amount is $ 1.3 million | Economy

Almost two months after the entry into force of the constitutional reform that authorized the withdrawal of funds from the mandatory individual capitalization accounts, the 82.4% of those affiliated to the pension system have withdrawn part of their pension savings.

The above, according to a balance from the Superintendency of Pensions (SP), translates into an average payment amount of $ 1,300,767 per person. In macro: a universe of 9,069,111 people has received a total of US $ 15,060 million in retirement payments.

The SP added that 9,671,783 of members and beneficiaries of the system have requested to withdraw funds, of which 94% already have payments in progress. “This amount considers almost the entire payment of the second installment of withdrawals contemplated in the reform ”, indicated the regulator.

As reported by the administrators, there were 11,001,543 requests to withdraw funds, of which the 7.7% have not been accepted for processing for the non-validation of the information provided by people.

In this context, the Chilean consulates began to receive requests for withdrawal of funds by submitting a form that is available at the following web address: https://www.mi10afp.cl/retira-tu-10-desde- abroad.

“The foregoing, without prejudice to the fact that affiliates who are abroad can go directly to the administrator to carry out the process,” the SP concluded in its report.
