Neighbors of Huechuraba reported the sighting of a cougar through the streets of the capital commune, during the night of this Tuesday.
According to reports through Twitter, the feline would have been seen in the vicinity of Los Fresnos and Pedro Fontova streets.
The animal was captured by the security cameras of the Club Altos del Valle condominium, walking through the desolate streets due to the curfew.
Municipal emergency teams mounted an operation to find the puma. In addition, they have recommended that neighbors stay in their homes and close windows to avoid incidents.
It is not the first time that a feline has been captured in that commune. Last August, a cougar was also sighted in the sector, however its capture was not achieved.
Recall that the puma is an endangered species and hunting is strictly prohibited for being a beneficial species for the maintenance of the balance of natural ecosystems.
