A team from the Diguillín Government in the Ñuble region surprised more than 100 people, holding a celebration of National Holidays in the Salto Dañicalqui de Pemuco on Sunday afternoon.
“40 private vehicles, and about 100 people were found in the vicinity of the Dañicalqui Falls in Pemuco, sharing roasts in a festive mood for the National Holidays, breaking health regulations detected in flagrante delicto,” said a statement from the Government.
Due to this fact, 10 sanitary summaries were initiated against people in the place and the governor of Diguillín, Enrique Rivas, criticized the actions of these people.
“Unfortunately the irresponsibility of a few, we risk raising the numbers of positive covid-19 cases when we are not responsible (…) We find around 40 private vehicles, with a capacity of more than 100 people, feasting in this place in Pemuco, in lamentable conditions in relation to everything we have done based on prevention ”, he explained.
“It is unpresentable that of these 100 people, among whom even some started out, dedicate themselves to feasting when we know that in this time what we have to do is take care of each other. We invite the public not to repeat scenes like these, and of course a large part of the population has made an enormous effort and this must also be respected ”, he added.
The 10 summaries applied were framed in resolution 591 that provides health measures for the outbreak of covid-19, which limits recreational activities, as well as what is established in resolution 777 regarding sanitary measures in the framework of the National Holidays, with a capacity of more than 10 people in the same place.
