During the morning of this Sunday the mayor of Bío Bío, Sergio Giacaman, confirmed in an interview with La Radio that the governor of Concepción, Julio Anativia, tested positive for COVID-19.

“Governor Julio Alonso Anativia Zamora called me during the morning. He tested positive for COVID and the health authority is studying the contacts so they are reporting who are the people who were in close contact with him so that they take all the precautionary measures, “he said.

He added that “there are several people who were with him, now what happens is that not all of them apply close contact, because it has to do with measurements, time, and that is a problem that the health authorities have to do, which today will be communicating to each of the close contacts who they are and what measures they have to take ”.

“He has to remain confined and (…) we have a defined surrogate, which is the Minister of Agriculture, Francisco Lagos Arriagada (…) for the time necessary for him to meet 14 days,” he said.

Regarding the state of the governor, he noted that he “had a little fever, I understand yesterday and that is why he decided to take the test. The important thing is that the man takes care of himself because we need him to be back ”.
