The health authority of the Valparaíso region has completed more than 600 sanitary summaries for the use of second homes. Violators are returned to their first address, exposing themselves to fines of up to 50 million pesos.

Despite the positive balance that the authorities have made on the mobility of people in the Valparaíso region during the celebration of National Holidays, The Seremi de Salud indicated that more than 600 sanitary summaries have been carried out for the use of second homes.

He seremi Francisco Álvarez indicated that the main offenders have been found in the communes of Concón, Zapallar, Puchuncaví and Papudo.


Álvarez added that people who violate this measure are returned to their first residence. They also risk a fine ranging from 0.1 UTM to 1,000 UTM, that is, 50 million pesos.

During the next few days, health officials -in conjunction with the Armed Forces and municipal teams- will continue to carry out controls in the sectors to identify those who are occupying their second home, in order to protect the health of the people of the Valparaíso region .
