A 40-year-old man was arrested on Friday night in the Las Condes commune, accused of raping his mother, after being surprised by his brother.
The antecedents show that the woman’s youngest son left the home to buy some products, in the vicinity, and upon return he realized that his own older brother was sexually abusing his 80-year-old mother, for which he gave notice to his neighbors, who responded by violently attacking the author.
After being detained by the neighbors, he was handed over to police officers for his arrest.
“(The man) realizes that his 40-year-old brother was raping her (the mother) inside the home, and requests the cooperation of his neighbors, who upon entering begin to attack this subject in different parts of his body. Carabineros arrives at the scene, assists this woman and transfers her to a care center, ”explained Captain Jorge Díaz Castañeda of the uniformed police.
In the Legal Medical Service, the injuries caused by the sexual assault were confirmed.
The accused was transferred to El Salvador Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries, and is now in a position to face his detention control this morning at the Capital Justice Center.
