The radio host Pablo Aguilera has received harsh criticism on social networks, following a joke he made about the inhabitants of the Puente Alto commune.
On Wednesday’s edition of his program “La Mañana de Pablo Aguilera” on Radio Pudahuel, the renowned announcer launched the joke when he read a news story about the appearance of a puma in a condominium in Puente Alto.
“Puma was spotted walking through the streets of a condominium in Puente Alto. Given the fact that an operation was carried out in the sector, Carabineros reported that the animal had already returned to its natural habitat, it was never seen again. He said ‘no, Here there are pure flaites, they are stealing, they are causing disorders and infecting people. I better go to my hill, “” was what Aguilera said.
Given this, the name of the Radio Pudahuel announcer, which became a trend on Twitter, has been the target of strong criticism on social networks. Users accuse classism and discrimination in their joke.
(1/3) Regarding the shit of Pablo Aguilera on Radio Pudahuel with his classist carvings on the people of Puente Alto.
1) It is striking that an announcer with his experience and career, and with the image of a “gentleman” (from the school of César Antonio Santis) falls that way.– Rodrigo Vergara (@roverg) September 18, 2020
I open Hilo: During your program in @RadioPudahuel Pablo Aguilera treated the people of Puente Alto with flaites, who are stealing and contagious, inserting laughter at the end of his comment. Reflecting a classist and stigmatizing humor.

Before the appearance of a puma in the foothills of Puente Alto, Pablo Aguilera stated in his program: “The puma said, nooo here there are pure flaites, they are stealing, they are making disorders, they are contagious, I better go” (laughs)

It strikes me that Pablo Aguilera, a person who has been in radio for years, commits this type of blunder, considering that most of his auditors come from popular communes.

I have always disliked Pablo Aguilera, and now that he messed with my commune I hate him.
Where does this gentleman think they are listening to him? The patterns of the Dehesa? What an idiot, I have no other word to describe it.– Javiera Andrea (@JavieraAndreaRT) September 18, 2020
At what time will they issue a statement, demanding an apology from Mr. Pablo Aguilera for his classist and infamous comments regarding the inhabitants of Puente Alto?
