A structural fire consumed one house and partially damaged another, on the edge of the Toro and Santo Domingo hills, in Valparaíso, and a driver of a fire truck was attacked by neighbors, who were trying to put out the flames with buckets.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Cajilla and Alberto Blest Gana streets, in the traditional Puerto neighborhood, and was declared after 7:30 p.m.
Patricio Lara, third commander of the Valparaíso Fire Department, confirmed the attack suffered by a driver of the 10th Fire Company of the World Heritage city, attributing it to the desperation of the neighbors, who were participating in the fight against the fire .
The second affected house was located in the same address as the one that was totally destroyed.
The fire was controlled around 9:00 p.m., so the Fire Department of Fire Investigation works to determine the causes of the emergency.
