This Thursday they delivered from Health a new balance of COVID-19 in the country, an opportunity in which the regions of Magallanes and Bío Bío marked figures above 200 infections.

Looking at the big picture, there are 1,860 new cases, of which 1,283 correspond to symptomatic people and 540 do not present symptoms. In addition, 37 Positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.

The total number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country reaches 441,150. Of that total, 15,080 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 413,928.

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), in the last 24 hours there were 84 deaths due to causes associated with COVID-19. The total number of deceased amounts to 12,142 in the country.

To the date, 895 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 663 are on mechanical ventilation support and 120 are in critical health.

“It is important to emphasize that for the second day in a row we dropped below the 900 COVID hospitalized in ICU. Chile did not drop below 900 hospitalized in ICUs since May 19, making it the lowest figure in 120 days, “said the health authority.

Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 460 ventilators available for patients who require it, regardless of the region where they are located.

Regarding the Laboratory Network and the diagnostic capacity, this Wednesday the results of 31,646 PCR tests were reported, reaching to date a total of 2,942,651 tests analyzed nationwide.
