The company, at around 10:46 p.m., explained that the service interruption was due to two outages in its fiber optic network, and stated that one of these was due to “acts of vandalism just outside one of our main distribution centers. (HUB).

The second fiber cut, said the company, was the result of a fire caused by the fall of electrical cables on its network.
VTR’s estimate for return of service is close to midnight.
The Undersecretariat of Telecommunications reported that they were gathering more information on what happened.
