Man attacked ex-partner with a shotgun and ax, when he fled he was hit by a truck and died

Two cases of frustrated femicides are being investigated in the Ñuble Region: in the communes of San Carlos and Chillán.

The first occurred at dawn this Wednesday inside the victim’s home, in the capital of the Province of Punilla, until her ex-partner arrived, Jaime Flores Montecinos, 50 years old.

The subject allegedly entered the victim’s home carrying a shotgun, which was fired without causing injury. However, after a struggle, the man took an ax and hit the woman on the head with the blunt part, causing him a serious injury.

In the house were the mother and daughter of the attacked woman, who called the Carabineros. The aggressor fled.

He prosecutor Rolando Canahuate, of the San Carlos Prosecutor’s Office, indicated that, after the fact, “the man fled to Route 5 South, parking his vehicle at kilometer 370, where he was hit by a truck “and died.

“SIAT Carabineros established in their report that the accused of the frustrated femicide was exposed to the risk of accident when crossing the route through an unauthorized place, “for which it is presumed that he may have wanted to commit suicide, Canahuate said.

Second case in Chillán

Meanwhile, also this morning, Carabineros from the Chillán Oriente Office, dependent on the Second Chillán Police Station, detained subject accused of leaving his partner with injuries of various degrees after a discussion in the context of domestic violence.

According to the police record, the accused gave the victim cuts with a chef’s knife in the neck, in the thorax and in one of his hands.

Subject escaped, but was captured aboard a bus at the María Teresa de Chillán terminal, carrying a knife between his clothes.

The individual, of Colombian nationality, remains in an irregular situation within our country.

In both cases, the victims are admitted without risk of life, in the San Carlos and Chillán hospitals.
