A fire consumed the home of a counselor from La Araucania during the afternoon of this Sunday, after 6:00 p.m.

It was the property located inside the Mariluan estate, domicile of the Marita Gutiérrez (RN) core.

After the accident, personnel from the PDI and Firefighters worked at the site, as confirmed by the commander of the latter institution in Collipulli, Joel Carcamo.

Meanwhile, a volunteer was injured by a burn in the middle of the fire fighting.

In the place, no pamphlets or canvases were found alluding to the Mapuche cause, but the authority itself indicated that on Saturday a group of 5 community members, who would be members of the Segundo Guajardo community, had arrived to locate themselves on the property and install a ruca.

It was as a result of what Gutiérrez denounced the fact as usurpation in the Carabineros, so the personnel went to the place to evict the community members, which was done without major inconveniences.

In this context, the prosecutor on duty instructed to maintain a protection measure with police protection.
